AUTHOR: PowerSync Product Team

In September, we introduced support for MongoDB as a backend database, allowing customers using Atlas Device Sync to leverage PowerSync as the sync engine between MongoDB on the backend and a local database on client devices. Initially, this was available for testing in a Docker environment.

Starting today, this functionality is also available to PowerSync Cloud users, providing a hosted deployment option for those who prefer a managed setup.

Read more about PowerSync as an alternative to Atlas Device Sync in this blog post.

Getting started

Sign up on powersync.com if you haven’t already. In the PowerSync Dashboard, create a new instance and select "MongoDB" as the connection type. Proceed to enter your connection details by following these instructions.
